The wheelAIR® helps active wheelchair users keep cool - and it looks great too

The wheelAIR® cooling wheelchair backrest cushion has been developed with help from leading Paralympic athletes and is designed to help active users cool and prevent overheating.

The wheelAIR® is more or less silent and is extremely easy to fit, use and recharge. It comes in a number of sizes including 29cm wide, 33cm wide, 36cm wide and 40cm wide.

The length of the cushion is 74cm and the thickness is 2.5cm

It can work with active lightweight rigid and folding wheelchairs with a canvas backrest and users will benefit from a cooler back temperature and cooler core temperature.

In regards to the weight - the fan & remote weigh 450g with the cushion section weighing 750 to 860g (depending on the width size).

How long will it take for my wheelAIR® to arrive?

We aim to dispatch every wheelAIR within 2 – 3 working days of receiving your order. Orders can take up to 3 days after this to arrive in the post.

What kind of warranty is included?
You are entitled to one-year full warranty from the time of purchase, not including general wear and tear. For more information, refer to the manual available in the downloads section above

What happens if I order the wrong size by accident?
You can exchange your wheelAIR within 14 days of buying it. It needs to be unused and in original packaging and you will be liable for all associated shipping costs. You can call us anytime on 028 92 633 798 to ensure you order the correct size in the first instance.

What happens if my wheelAIR® gets lost in the post?
If you have tracked your wheelAIR using the tracking number provided in your purchase email and it has not arrived despite being marked as delivered, please get in contact with us and we can work to solve this for you.

How do I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order by contacting us at weborders@johnpreston.co.uk within 24 hours of purchase.

Why isn’t the wheelAIR® available in my country?

We are working hard to make the wheelAIR available globally. However, this isn’t as simple as it sounds. Please email us to let us know your interest, and we hope to accommodate you as soon as possible! Sign up to our newsletter or check out our news page.

How easy is it to replace my current backrest cushion with the wheelAIR®?
It is very easy! You just strip of your current backrest cushion, leaving on the suspension support structure, and fit ours on. For more detailed easy to follow instructions, take a look at page 12 – 15 of our user guide included in your wheelAIR package or have a look at our online PDF available in the downloads section above.

How do I charge my wheelAIR®?
Your wheelAIR is easily charged through a micro USB port at the bottom of the remote, using the USB cable included in the packaging on purchase. For more detailed easy to follow instructions, take a look at page 17 of our user guide included in your wheelAIR package or have a look at our online PDF.

Can I get my wheelAIR® repaired?
Yes, we offer a repairs policy. If your wheelAIR has become damaged through wear and tear, we offer a repair service for a fee. Get in touch with us to discuss further.

Can I check the battery level?
The battery level can be monitored by using the battery button on your remote. The LEDs will indicate the battery level or whether the battery is charging.

How do I alter the airflow of my wheelAIR®?
Airflow is altered using the button on your remote. For more detailed easy to follow instructions, take a look at page 16 of our user guide included in your wheelAIR package or have a look at our online PDF.

How do I wash my wheelAIR®?
Your wheelAIR can be washed easily at home. For the cushion, refer to the washing instructions on the care labels (which are different for the inner and outer fabric cover). Gently wipe fan box with damp cloth.
