At John Preston we carry out repairs on mobility scooters, wheelchairs and powerchairs. We have a dedicated team of engineers that will help fix faults and service your wheelchair from the comfort of your own home. Our engineers work on site in our Lisburn store but do travel across Northern Ireland to support repairs and maintenance when necessary.
Today, our skilled engineer Danny travelled to Belfast to fix an electric Quantum Edge 2.0 wheelchair. The customer previously had pneumatic tyres on and unfortunately their tyres kept going flat. The downside of pneumatic tyres is that they require regular maintenance. This type of tyre is air filled and unfortunately it is more susceptible to a puncture or loss of pressure. A call out was arranged and solid tyres for optimium performance were fitted, ensuring client safety and a smooth experience.
Regular servicing and maintenance of any wheelchair product will extend the life expectancy of it and potentially save you money in the long run.
All repair appointments will be scheduled based on client suitability and the engineers availability. If we are not able to provide the service directly, we will appoint a qualified and experienced third party to carry out the repairs on our behalf.
We may be able to assist with helping you source parts for your wheelchair but this will be at your own expense. To avoid disappointment, it is best practice to source or identify what parts are needed prior to the engineers doing home visits. This will ensure that all work is completed in a single visit.
