John Preston Healthcare are proud distributors of CareFlex seating in Ireland.  We have been providing specialist seating for over 30 years to the Health Service and Community  on both sides of the border and have CareFlex trained Product Specialists who can assist a medical professional in assessing clients for the range of products.

In early 2015, CareFlex are hosting 2 Specialist Seating Training Days in Ireland :

  1. Wednesday 17th June  – Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick
  2. Thursday 18th June – The Gresham Hotel, Dublin

We take our responsibility as a specialist seating provider seriously and recognise that
appropriate training is the key to ensuring correct, safe and supportive seating.  Our training course has been developed to help  you improve your knowledge and confidence with  specialist seating.

The course involves a hands-on workshop where you will learn about the key features of the CareFlex Seating range so you can select the right chair for the patient’s need.  Presented by Gail Russell, an experienced OT, this course offers a mix of practical group discussion and
active participation.

Learning Outcomes

– Understand where seating fits in to the 24 hour Postural Management approach.
– Identify common problems relating to sitting posture and understand how you can     address them effectively.
– Understand the need for Postural Care and Pressure redistribution.
– Have a better appreciation of the impact of seating in terms of comfort, function and the long term value of correct seating.
– How to support your funding request for specialist seating with clear and compelling documentation.
