The Alber E -motion power assist wheelchair wheel in Northern Ireland - another happy customer.

We had the pleasure of supplying an Alber E-motion powered wheel to a delighted Aubrey Graham on Friday.

The innovative E-motion allows any wheelchair user with limited strength to move around independently with minimal effort. To power your wheelchair simply touch the wheel rims and enjoy the power assist that can even be used to negotiate slopes and ramps.

It can be used on most manual wheelchairs and our service includes advice on your current chair and compatibility.


To get the full benefit from the E-motion you need to have some power and be able to control the direction and speed that you are moving at, and also be able to judge how to stop safely.

It is powered by state of the art lithium batteries which are also easily removed if you are travelling by plane. It can be controlled by a remote control that can be worn on a lanyard and of course your char can just be used manually when the situation calls for it.

Anyone up to 130kg can use the E-motion and you will get speeds of up to 6kph. The range is normally up to 25 km.

The wheels are easily detached meaning that you can store this in the boot of your car very easily.
